Yes think its a good idea craze otherwise the skin may never see someones PC/laptop

My thoughts are to advertise to reward the skinner by making a skins purchase where the money goes to wards people with disabilities.

in fact it may not be the right way to do it via the auction site.

there is a subscription function on this forum i can set up so if people want to subscribe they get access to a special skin forum for those that donate.

what do you think of that idea?

maybe a 5 or 10$ a year subscription and you get access to skins that skinners make before they are released to the public?

maybe the skins would be released a month later after being in the subscription section of the forum?

just throwing the idea out there.

The subscription sounds interesting.

I'm thinking that a good idea might be to just suggest on a skin download that, "if you enjoy this skin, consider making a donation." And see how that flies.


Incidentally, I'm having problems staying logged in when posting.

maybe the subscription could be interesting, especially since most of the user we have are not active but are only here to download skins.

the staying log in might be cause by a server reboot at the time. was there any errors? or you just all of a sudden logged out and have to log back in?

i know some strange things occur when on a shared server as we are now.

It seems to be happening when either previewing or submitting a post.
When I click either button (Preview or Submit) I either get sent to the "Your not logged in" page, or, I get a popup that says that I don't have permission.

So I've been doing a lot of copy & paste while relogging in.
After logging back in, the next page freezes, or does not load.
So I hit the back button several times and finally get things to work.

Hope this helps in tracking it down.

yes some stranger server issues have been happing. however a few things have been fixed now. can you let me know if this is still the case?
